Almoradí is a town and municipality near the mouth of the Segura River in the Vega Baja region of the province of Alicante. Algorfa, Dolores, Quesada, Rojales and Formentera are some of the nearest towns. Although traditionally Spanish, the area is home to a cosmopolitan mix of expatriates. El Bañet is the only urbanisation in Almoradí.

ALMORADÍ BEACHES AND PROMENADE

Almoradí is only 21 minutes drive from the sandy beaches of Guardamar. They comprise numerous blue flag beaches located side by side along Guardamar's 11 kilometres of coastline. Playa Centro and La Roqueta are popular due to their bustling beach fronts which have many bars, cafes and restaurants. Guardamar also has a marina with 494 moorings.

Almoradí's atmosphere is best soaked up in the town square with a cup of coffee in its cafés. It is home to two of the town's most notable buildings, the 120 year old casino and the Teatro Cortes, where traditional plays are performed. St Andrew's Church, dedicated to the eponymous patron saint, has a figure of Christ that bears a particular resemblance to Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer.

Enjoy siestas and fiestas, such as the Moors and Christians in July and Holy Week at Easter in this quintessentially Spanish small town.

The Aqua Park Ciudad Quesada water park is 10 kilometres from the town. The El Recorral nature reserve, just 19 minutes drive away, with walking, recreational and children's play areas and quiet picnic spots.

GOLF

The famous La Marquesa golf course is a 17 minute drive away, whilst the region's other top class and popular golf courses, including Campoamor, Villamartin, La Finca and Las Ramblas, are all within a 30 minute drive.
