The Church of the Virgen de Belén is a unique monument in Bigastro. It has a sculpture of San Joaquín de Salzillo. In August there is a fiesta with parades, night parties and stalls dedicated to the saint. Santa Cruz and Romería de San Isidro are annual celebrations that take place in May. Santa Ana and El Rosario de la Aurora are the other festivals celebrated here. A strong musical tradition is maintained for all celebrations.

La Pedrera is a nearby park and recreation area, adjacent to the La Pedrera reservoir, with views of the Sierra de Orihuela. It has camping and barbecue facilities, with metal and stone grill stations, and mountain bike tracks.
