BEACHES AND PROMENADE TORRE DE LA HORADADA

Torre de la Horadada's 10 beaches, stretching all the way to Pilar de la Horadada, include 7 blue flags. The most popular are El Puerto, El Condo and Los Jesuitas beaches. There are sand dune beaches at the southern end of the town and secluded coves near the main square.

Water sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the numerous diving and snorkelling opportunities available on the beaches. The extensive coastline with its small rock formations abounds with diverse marine life and posidonia.

Torre de la Horadada offers a marina with 525 moorings. Built over 30 years ago on a small fishing pier, it now offers sailing lessons as well as a wide range of water sports and activities.

The Old Town has a church and square, the latter of which is where the locals celebrate the patron saint festival in honour of the Virgen del Pilar from the 1st to the 21st of October with parades, stalls and bull running. Other annual celebrations include one in honour of the Virgen de la Asunción on 15 August. There is also a summer festival on 30 July which ends with fireworks. Torre de la Horadada's Semana Santa celebrations in April make a spectacle of a boat procession, which is an ode to its coastal history.

The 18 hole Lo Romero golf course is a 10 minute drive away. It is a relatively new golf course on the Costa Blanca and is famous for its 18th hole called Isla del Golf because it is surrounded by water. Another nearby golf course is the famous Ramblas, which can be reached in 15 minutes by car.
