TORREVIEJA

Torrevieja, a coastal resort town in the south of the province of Alicante, enjoys a picturesque location between two large natural saltwater lagoons. The Laguna de Torrevieja (Torrevieja salt lake) is bluish-pink in colour and the Laguna de La Mata (La Mata salt lake) is azure blue.

The landscape comprises beaches and urban areas surrounded by lemon and orange groves, natural wetlands, vine-covered valleys and mountain ranges as a backdrop.

TORREVIEJA BEACHES AND PROMENADE

There are six Blue Flag accredited beaches in Torrevieja, namely Playa del Acequión, Paseo Maritimo Juan Aparicio, Playa del Cura, Playa de Los Locos and Playa de Los Náufragos.

There are coves on the north side of the coastline and salt water pools near the Juan Aparicio promenade. Playa de La Mata, resplendent with natural dunes, is in the nearby La Mata Natural Park.

The town has three marinas, Marina Salinas, Real Club Náutico and Marina Internacional, all with numerous moorings.

The city's attractions include the Casino Sociedad Cultural de Torrevieja, the Sea and Salt Museum, the S-61 Submarine - Floating Museums and the Molino del Rampaina, which is a public square at the highest point of the city and features a historic windmill. Enjoy a picturesque view of the Mediterranean Sea and the Costa Blanca from the Torre del Cabo de Cervera, also known as Torre del Moro.

GOLF

The town is close to some of the best 18 hole golf resorts on the Costa Blanca, of which Villamartin, La Marquesa, Las Ramblas and Campoamor are the closest, within a 20 minute drive.
